Privacy policy
Last updated: September 22, 2026
Pavo Fitness (Hong Kong) Limited, trading as PAVO ("PAVO," "we," "us," or "our"), operates www.pavofitness.com and its online store.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and retain personal information when you browse our website, place an order or pre-order, contact us, subscribe to our emails, or participate in a PAVO online activity that links to this policy. We refer to these activities collectively as the "Services."
For the processing described in this policy, PAVO is the business responsible for your personal information and, where applicable, its data controller. Shopify and other providers may also process information for their own purposes, as described below.
This policy addresses our website, store, and related communications. It does not describe the collection of workout, fitness, or device data through the PAVO app or connected equipment. For questions about privacy when using the PAVO app or connected equipment, please contact us.
1. Personal Information We Collect
The information we collect depends on how you interact with us.
- Contact and delivery information: Your name, email address, telephone number, billing address, and shipping address.
- Account and preference information: Information used to identify your customer account, account settings, language preferences, and marketing or privacy choices.
- Order and transaction information: Products purchased, order and pre-order details, purchase history, amounts paid, payment status, delivery updates, and return or refund records.
- Payment information: Information processed by payment providers to complete a transaction, and transaction records or payment details made available to us to administer your order.
- Customer support information: Messages, order references, product serial numbers, and photographs or videos you provide when requesting help or warranty support.
- Device and website activity information: IP address, browser and device characteristics, cookie or similar identifiers, referral information, pages and products viewed, and interactions with our website or advertisements.
- Community and partnership information: Information you choose to submit, such as your social media handle, business or studio name, reviews, photographs, videos, public post links, and participation or content permissions.
Payment providers process payment credentials under their own privacy and security terms. Please do not send payment card numbers or security codes to us by email or through a general contact form.
Please also avoid including unnecessary health information, identity documents, or information about other people in support messages or community submissions.
2. Where Information Comes From
We obtain information directly from you when you make a purchase, complete a form, contact us, or share content. We also collect information automatically through our website and the technologies described in Section 5.
Service providers and partners may provide information needed to deliver the Services, such as payment confirmations, shipping updates, fraud alerts, and advertising or analytics reports. If you contact us through a social platform or ask us to support a crowdfunding order, we may receive the information that the platform makes available for that interaction or order.
3. How We Use Information
We use personal information to:
- Process purchases and pre-orders, arrange delivery, provide order updates, and administer returns, refunds, and warranty requests.
- Manage customer accounts and respond to questions or support requests.
- Send product news, class updates, offers, and other marketing communications, subject to your preferences and applicable law.
- Understand website use, improve our content and shopping experience, and measure advertising performance.
- Show relevant advertisements, where permitted and subject to the privacy choices described below.
- Administer community activities, referral or promotional programs, and partnership inquiries that you choose to participate in.
- Review and use submitted content in accordance with the permissions you give and any separately agreed terms.
- Prevent fraud, investigate misuse, protect the Services, and maintain business records.
- Meet legal obligations, handle disputes, and protect legal rights.
Information necessary to process an order or answer a request must be provided for us to perform that service. Marketing subscriptions and optional community submissions are not required to make a purchase.
Submitting content to PAVO does not, by itself, give us permission to use it in paid advertising. The permissions requested for a particular activity and any separate agreement govern that use.
4. Legal Grounds for Processing
Where applicable data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on:
- Contract: to process orders, provide requested services, and manage the customer relationship.
- Consent: where required for marketing, non-essential tracking, or other activities for which we ask your permission. You can withdraw consent without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
- Legitimate interests: to operate and improve our business, answer inquiries, secure our Services, prevent fraud, and handle disputes, where those interests are not overridden by your rights and freedoms. We do not use this basis to bypass a consent requirement.
- Legal obligations: to maintain required records and respond to lawful requests or other obligations.
5. Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising
We and our providers use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies for different purposes:
- Essential functions: operating the shopping cart, checkout, security features, and privacy preferences.
- Preferences: remembering choices that make the website easier to use.
- Analytics: understanding website performance and how visitors interact with the Services.
- Advertising: measuring campaigns and, where permitted, helping show relevant advertisements on other services.
Advertising partners may receive online identifiers, browsing activity, and information about interactions such as product views or purchases. Certain uses of this information may be considered a "sale," "sharing," or "targeted advertising" under applicable U.S. state privacy laws, even when no money is paid for the information.
Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand website traffic and visitor interactions, and Google Ads to measure advertising performance and conversions. Where enabled and permitted, we also use Google's advertising features to show relevant ads to people who have interacted with our website.
These services may process information such as online identifiers, browser and device details, referral information, pages viewed, and events such as product views, cart activity, and purchases. Requests to Google may also include your IP address and the URL of the page visited. Processing depends on the service, our configuration, and your privacy choices.
For more information, see how Google uses information from sites and apps that use its services and Google's Privacy Policy. You can manage Google's personalized advertising through My Ad Center and find information about Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on. These options supplement the privacy choices available on our website.
Where enhanced conversions are enabled, contact details you provide, such as an email address or phone number, may be hashed and shared with Google to match conversions to ad interactions, subject to applicable consent requirements. Hashing does not make this information anonymous.
Your Cookie and Advertising Choices
Where consent is required, non-essential tracking is subject to that consent. You can review or change available choices through the website's cookie preferences and our Your Privacy Choices page. You may also contact us for help exercising your rights.
Browser settings can block or delete cookies, although some website features may stop working. Depending on the technology, you may need to repeat your choices on another browser or device, or after clearing cookies.
Where required by applicable law, we treat a recognized Global Privacy Control signal as a request to opt out of sale or sharing and targeted advertising for the relevant browser or device. Where we can associate the signal with an account and applicable law requires it, we also apply the choice to that account. Other browser "Do Not Track" signals are not treated as a substitute for the controls described here.
6. How We Disclose Information
We disclose information as needed for the purposes above to:
- Commerce and technology providers, including Shopify, hosting, storage, website support, and customer service providers.
- Payment, fraud prevention, and fulfillment providers, including payment processors, shipping carriers, and logistics partners.
- Analytics and advertising providers, including Google, subject to applicable consent requirements and privacy choices.
- Professional advisers and authorities, where needed for legal, accounting, security, or regulatory matters.
- Parties involved in a business transaction, such as a merger or acquisition, subject to appropriate safeguards and applicable law.
- Other recipients you authorize, including when you ask us to share information or give permission to publish submitted content.
Some providers act on our behalf; others, such as certain payment services or advertising platforms, also use information under their own privacy notices. Public reviews, posts, or content published with your permission may be seen and used by other people.
7. Our Relationship with Shopify
Shopify hosts our online store and processes information to operate and improve the shopping experience, including checkout, transactions, and related services. Shopify and its service providers may process information in countries other than your own.
Our store also uses Shopify enhanced services that can combine information from interactions with PAVO, other merchants, and Shopify to support features such as fraud prevention and relevant advertising. For processing it undertakes for its own purposes, Shopify is responsible for explaining that processing and handling the associated privacy requests.
Learn more in the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy. You can also visit the Shopify Privacy Portal to learn about choices and rights relating to Shopify's processing. Choices concerning PAVO are available through Section 10 below.
8. International Processing
PAVO is based in Hong Kong. Our service providers operate internationally, so your information may be stored or processed outside your country of residence. Privacy laws in those locations may differ from the laws where you live.
Where a transfer of information from the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom requires safeguards, we use an applicable adequacy decision or recognized contractual safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and the appropriate UK transfer terms. You can contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your personal information, including how to obtain a copy where applicable.
9. Retention and Security
We retain information for the purposes described in this policy. Retention depends on the information involved, the duration of our relationship, the need to fulfill orders and support warranties, applicable accounting or other legal requirements, and the need to resolve disputes or prevent fraud.
For example, order records may need to be retained after an order is fulfilled or an account is closed. We may retain a limited record of an unsubscribe or privacy request so that we can continue to respect it. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it in accordance with our retention procedures and applicable law.
We use safeguards designed to protect personal information. No website, storage system, or method of transmission can be guaranteed completely secure. Please protect access to your accounts and contact us if you believe information connected to your PAVO account or order has been compromised.
10. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have the right to:
- Know about or access personal information we hold about you and obtain a copy.
- Correct inaccurate information or request deletion.
- Receive certain information in a portable format.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.
- Opt out of sale or sharing of personal information, targeted advertising, or certain profiling where applicable.
- Limit certain uses of sensitive personal information where that right applies.
- Appeal a decision about a privacy request or complain to a relevant privacy authority.
To make a request, email support@pavofitness.com with the subject “Privacy Request.” You can also use Your Privacy Choices for available advertising and data-sharing choices.
We may need information to verify your identity or an authorized agent's authority. Verification requirements depend on the request; requests to opt out do not require you to create an account. We respond within the time required by applicable law and explain any lawful reason we cannot fulfill a request in full.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights. If an appeal right applies, reply to our decision or contact the email above with the subject “Privacy Appeal.” You may also contact the privacy authority where you live, including the UK Information Commissioner's Office, an EEA supervisory authority, or the Hong Kong Privacy Commissioner for Personal Data.
Marketing emails: You can unsubscribe using the link in a promotional email or by contacting us. Unsubscribing does not stop necessary messages about an order, delivery, account, or service request.
11. Children
Our online store and marketing activities are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect children's personal information through these Services. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us so that we can review the situation and take appropriate action, including deletion where required.
12. Other Websites and Services
Our website may link to social media, crowdfunding platforms, videos, and other third-party services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own notices. Please review those notices before providing information or using their features.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our Services, data practices, or legal requirements. We will publish the revised version here and update the date above. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before a change takes effect. Updating this policy does not itself replace a consent requirement.
